Over the years we have received so many fantastic comments in our Visitors' book and also on various feedback sites on the internet that we thought it about time we started to share these with you. Here are some of the latest comments we have received and which we are very proud of:

'Fantastic stay at Ashbourne House Bed and breakfast York
From the moment of arrival to depature the weekend stay at Ashbourne Guest House was fantastic. Paul, Julie + Michael where alwasy very helpful and cheerful and made our stay in York that extra bit special. Close by to the city centre and a wonderful river walk to get there made the whole experience very enjoyable and relazing. The rooms and settings were perfect and loved the little toffee sweets as a welcome as soon as you walked in. Would def recommend for a stay and will be staying again when back in York'.

'Chose Ashbourne House for it's location only 20 mins walk from York City centre with a very good bus service. The room was spotlessley clean with towels changed when required, the bed was very comfortable and shower excellent.  The owners pride themselves on using local produce for the breakfast and this certainly showed as the food was superb. We would have no doubts about using Ashbourne House again and also recommending to friends'.

'Fantastic 3 days spent at Ashbourne House. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. Paul was amazing, helped us out with a taxi from York railway station when we got a bit lost! He paid for it for us, which was unexpected and such a nice gesture. Ashbourne House is about a 6 minute drive from the railway station and is easy to find. We walked into York on most days and it took us no more than 20 minutes. York is a beautiful city with so much to do, very compact so everything is very 'walkable' Could not have asked any more from our hosts, our room was excellent with a wonderful walk in shower. Paul and Julie appear to have thought of just about everything! The bed and bedding - Egyptian cotton -deserves a special mention as they are special.Breakfast was the best, we really enjoyed this time of the day, most definitely worth getting up for. Would love to go back one day, if only to meet up with Paul & Julie again'

"Right from the moment you are greeted at the door with a warm welcome you know you've found a hidden gem. Paul and Julie's attention to detail at Ashbourne House is exceptional and feels like home from home. Our room was spacious, comfy and immaculately clean. My wife and i were staying over for her birthday and we couldn't have wished for a nicer guest house, and just a short and relaxing river side walk away from York centre. Julie even put us on to a fantastic little Italian restaurant called Lucia's for a celebratory meal. The 'Delicious Yorkshire' breakfast next morning was just the ticket to start the day on. We would highly recommend Ashbourne House to anyone."

"Found Ashbourne House a great place to stay. Situated in a quite area of York, lovely 15 minute walk along the river right into the centre. Room was decorated wonderfully with everything you would need. Fantastic Egyptian cotton bedding. Loads of choice for breakfast - which was gorgeous. Paul & Julie on hand 24/7, they are real stars and will sort anything for you!!"

"Travelled all around the UK on our trip and Ashbourne House rates as the best B&B in York we have stayed in. Clean and very friendly. Paul really looked after us. Everything in the room you could ever want, spacious with a great shower which made a change to have a powerful one!! Particularly liked the free internet access. We had a faster connection than back home. 10/10."
