"Right from the moment you are greeted at the door with a warm welcome you know you've found a hidden gem. Paul and Julie's attention to detail at Ashbourne House is exceptional and feels like home from home. Our room was spacious, comfy and immaculately clean. My wife and i were staying over for her birthday and we couldn't have wished for a nicer guest house, and just a short and relaxing river side walk away from York centre. Julie even put us on to a fantastic little Italian restaurant called Lucia's for a celebratory meal. The 'Delicious Yorkshire' breakfast next morning was just the ticket to start the day on. We would highly recommend Ashbourne House to anyone."

"Found Ashbourne House a great place to stay. Situated in a quite area of York, lovely 15 minute walk along the river right into the centre. Room was decorated wonderfully with everything you would need. Fantastic Egyptian cotton bedding. Loads of choice for breakfast - which was gorgeous. Paul & Julie on hand 24/7, they are real stars and will sort anything for you!!"

"Travelled all around the UK on our trip and Ashbourne House rates as the best B&B we have stayed in. Clean and very friendly. Paul really looked after us. Everything in the room you could ever want, spacious with a great shower which made a change to have a powerful one!! Particularly liked the free internet access. We had a faster connection than back home. 10/10."

"Paul and Julie really made us feel welcome. We were very comfortable in our room, everything was there for us. Our room with tastefully decorated, spacious and there is an excellent choice of menu for breakfast. Ashbourne House had everything that you could want in a guest house, comfort, cleanliness and a great breakfast. Couldn't fault it. If you book I am sure you will be as happy as we were."
